Richard Eduard Coert [1922 – 2003]

On the 5th of October in 1922 Richard Eduard Coert was born in Malang. After WWII, on May 28 1947, he married to Elaine Louise Runtuwene in Indonesia. After living in New Guinea and The Netherlands they migrated to the USA (in the state California near Los Angeles) in 1959. He had two daughters Elizabeth Christine (born in Utrecht, The Netherlands) and Barbara Rose (born in Long Beach, California USA). He died on the 17th of October 2003 near Los Angeles (USA). On the 12th of March in 2004 Jason A. Dixon wrote the story “Opa: Dutch for Hero” about him.
